Located in Al Seef on Dubai Creek, Museum of Illusions is fun, interactive and educational experience for all ages where visitor becomes a part of the illusion. Over 80 Optical illusions and Installations, as well as Grand illusion rooms will fool your eyes and entertain your brain. You will discover why illusions defy the laws of physics and learn more about the science behind them.

Museum of Illusions

If you’re in the mood for something different, bring your camera and visit us in Museum of Illusions.

HOLOGRAMS: Start the visit with holograms, a photographic recording of a light field, which is used to display a fully three-dimensional image of the holographed subject and making them look so realistic.

EINSTEIN HOLLOW FACES: Dance and move in front of them! Find out why Einsteins are following you while you are doing it. They are all the same static concave faces and yet you seem to perceive them differently.

INTERACTIVE OPTICAL ILLUSIONS: Which line is longer, which angle is bigger? Museum of Illusions encourages visitors to be interactive with the exhibits, try them out, measure and play with them, solve them. The visitor can become part of the illusion.

VORTEX TUNNEL: Step inside and demonstrate your courage in this rotating cylinder. You’ll have difficulty moving and will think you are losing ground under your feet even though you’re actually standing on a stable, flat surface.

AMES ROOM: Watch your parents shrink and grow in front of you, or picture yourself as a giant. Now you will know why Hobbit looked much smaller then Gandalf in The Lord of The Rings film trilogy. Camera cannot perceive what human eyes can can so you will surely have many funny unbelievable pictures from this room.

HEAD ON A PLATE: If you are in the mood you can serve your friend´s Head on a Plate or have a combination of head and legs without the torso. Try it out, Imagination is the only limit.

IMPOSSIBLE CHAIR: You want to see your dad or a friend three times smaller then you? Forced perspective is a technique which manipulates human visual perception through the use of scaled objects.

UP-SIDE-DOWN ROOM: Levitate above the floor, stand on one finger or walk on the wall, everything is possible in Up-Side-Down room! Use your imagination to the maximum because we like to reward the most creative and original pictures.

INFINTY ROOM and KALEIDOSCOPE: Peek inside of Kaleidoscope or Infinity room to take the best Selfie with 100 of your Reflections.

Here's a great place to spend some fun time with family and/or friends. Plenty of illusions to intrigue yourself with, of course, but also a few single/dual player games to indulge in for a bit of extra fun. The staff are very helpful and friendly and are hands-on to help you get all the right angles for those perfect 'illusional' shots.

Amazing experience with illusions

We went at the place right before they opening so we had the whole area by ourselves.

Staff. They are really helpful and knowledgeable about the exhibit like where to take photos, how do the illusions works and all other stuff around.

Area. I’m expecting more things to do but I think its enough to experience some of it. It is quite small but I enjoyed every single thing around it.

Price. I got an affordable price online via Groupon. I think it’s affordable for the whole experience.

Very nice and fun place. Suitable for children but also adults. Some optical illusions are very beautiful and also a lot of fun. The girls who work there are very nice and helpful. Definitely recommended if you are in the area

Fun place to spend a few hours and learn a few things too

The Museum of illusion is another great place in Dubai to spend the summer afternoon having lots of fun with the family.

The museum has many exhibits which create illusions of different kind and the best part is that YOU can be part of some of the the illusions.

You can take pictures or the ever-helping staff is also there to take your pictures. They explain the exhibits and also guide the visitors on where to position themselves and how to take the pics for the best illusionary effect.

We clicked a whole lot of pictures and kids enjoyed a lot. Highly Recommended.

As kids grow a little older, I will visit again - this time with the intent of learning from the illusions for my elder kid. The illusions are based on simple and interesting practical applications of physics and light / distance and physical placement of objects ... good place to learn

Just so you are aware, there is no line to skip, so just book yourself at their website, or get your tickets when you arrive. The entire experience can be completed in about 30 minutes, and the staff will help you take photos so they turn out right. Overall a fun experience. The good thing is it's located in the "original Dubai" and there are a lot of antique shops, a Starbucks, cologne and clothing shops. Be sure to build in some time to enjoy the area.
